If I tell you my story…
Will you find me drowning in the open spaces between my words,
Will you see me for who I am and not for what I’ve done..
If I tell you my story….
Will you still look at me the same or will your  eyes become black with terror and pain,
Will you see my destination, my purpose, and not the wrong paths I took along the journey…
If I tell you my story…
Will you still love me unconditionally like Hosea loved Gomer,
Will you see the woman I was made to be and not the woman circumstances and wrong decisions has moulded.
If I tell you my story…
Will you open up your heart to me, and accept me with grace and love or will you reject me like many others before.
If I tell you my story…
Will you see me, will you look at me with love or look at me through cracked lenses and be blind to the potential hidden inside of me.
If I tell you my story…
Will you accept my weakness and remind me of how strong I am, will you see my heart in all of this and lead me to God – the Healer.
If I tell you my story…
Will you shed a tear with me for every lost dream that was merely a wave tossed in the ocean,
Will you see the small little girl inside of me crying out for the Saviour’s acceptance
If I tell you my story…
You will find me in a blank space in between what’s lost and what will be gained. You will find me broken and shattered but slowly picking up my pieces.
If I tell you my story…
You will find me somewhere between regretting, but still longing for yesterday, and dreading, but reaching out to tomorrow.
If I tell you my story…
You will find me somewhere between the new and the old, what has been and what is still to come, what’s wrong and what’s right, the darkness and light…
If I tell you my story…
You will find me on my knees worn out by life’s burdens, you will find me empty and numb. You will see me through the cracks in the mask wearing me for the sake of the people…
But you will find me fighting the battle like a warrior, courageous, not giving up..
If I tell you my story…
Will you listen?
